LMAO! witty much! Maybe you fiancee is insecure and didnt take it as a joke like she should have. Explain to her that it was literally jus the first thing you came into your head, guy humour, and that you really just said it for a laugh. Reassure her that SHES the one you want to marry not some random lass at the pool! n next time, save your (very) funny remarks for when your with the lads....women can be a lil touchy sometimes :)

There wouldn't be conflict if you had just said "thanks" and walked away. Or said something like, "my fiancee picked them out for me." Why would you have to say something like that? I mean, if she got upset for a bit and forgot about it, then no big deal. If she's dragging it out into next week, there's a problem.

I know what you're going through, you have my sympathies. They are always over reacting to such simple comments and actions. I'm still paying for a slight infraction involving natural gas and a church pew, I didn't mean to interrupt their moment of silence.
