Be cautious with your heart here. It means he is using you as a standby until he finds someone who he wishes to be with more as a long-term relationship. He is afraid of cimmitting to you and only want you to be 'taken' so others will get the hint and not bother you or that you will not go chasing other guys since you think you are exclusively his...all the while he can date around since you are not officially his. If you are concerned, clarify with him. Ask him how you two are and what he is wanting from you in long terms. See if there is a "US" in there in the future? Can he be your unofficial bf as well?? so you can date around until you find someone better?

It means friends with benefits. He wants to have his cake and eat it too. It means that he'll act like you two are together, but not feel guilty about breaking it off for no reason. I wouldn't want to be someone's "unofficial" girlfriend.

Ok, I like this question, because that is what I have. My UOG
lives with another guy. However I introduce her to everyone as my girlfriend and she likes that I do. This has been going on for a year now. She get the best of both worlds and I get it when I want it.
