I have had a root canal about 4 years ago. About a month ago they has to put a post in the tooth, to build it up because some of the tooth broke off. Well I took a antibiotic after they did it. Now it is hurting bad again?

a possibilty is that the dentists may have done something wrong with some of the operations (*cough how often does that happen? cough*). go see another dentist and see what they think. obviously the dentsits u r with arent helping

You may have an infection around the tooth. This also happend to me and the gum was just irritated. Try not to chew on that side for awhile.

sounds like an infection. you should go back to your dentist.

maybe your body has become immune to the antibiotic.
