I just watched the Bill Mahre (sp) Show. On it was was Steven Weber, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA).
At first this actor, Steven Weber started to bash America, Christians and the War along with Bill.
Ayaan, who has written a book called "Infidel", put both the actors Bill and Steven on the spot by showing just exactly how wrong they are. Since she was a Muslim or is, I don't really know know, it was like watching this woman pour cold water on these two weak minded anti-American douchebags.
She clearly showed and made it very transparent just how slanted the liberal left is against America and Christians in the world. It was good to see the "actor goofs" have to sit and listen. The Politician was a complete ZERO! If he was from my district, I would be so embarrased!
The bottom part of this questions is this: if Bill Maher and Hollywood are so misinformed, why do they continue to espouse hatred towards their country? Is is that fashionable in Hollywood? or what?

You obviously misunderstand the liberal position.
You are misidentifying criticism of US policies with "hate". If liberals were "anti-American" and "hated" America (like you believe Islamic Terrorists "hate" America), then why aren't liberals teaming up and becoming terrorists, killing other Americans, and blowing up cities??????
The Answer is: Liberals don't hate America.
They just disagree with the leaders of America, and their Iraq foreign policy. Both sides are looking at the situation, and one side is saying "This is clearly right!" While the other side is saying, "This is clearly wrong!"
What you believe is Heaven, is perhaps Hell to somebody else.
And what you believe is Hell, somebody else might believe doesn't even exist.
This is exactly what is happening with Iraq: Liberals believe that America in Iraq is creating an Armageddon, while Conservatives believe that America in Iraq is creating (or protecting) Heaven on Earth.
Get it???? The same exact situation, but 2 totally different views.
Only time will tell which prediction is correct.
It's not about Liberals "hating", "bashing", or "attacking" America. Liberals are trying to protect America - just like Conservatives think they are trying to protect America.
The fact that Conservatives think Liberals "hate" America is exactly why Liberals (or at least myself*) think most Conservatives are closeminded, stupid idiots who can't see the bigger picture, and can't accept that the Liberal position could be right.
Liberals say, "Get out of Iraq. American soldiers are dying, we've been spending $400 billion/year for the past 4 years and the civil war is getting worse not better, and we are losing more allies and international credibility."
Empires have fallen and gone nearly bankrupt precisely because of expensive wars and overexpansion.
And all Conservatives say is, Liberals "hate" America????
What an extremely intelligent and sophisticated analysis.

I can't answer your question. I can say that it is terribly embarrassing that Hollywood folk talk there heads off and make fools of themselves and us. The other countries much get a good laugh at our expense. Makes me sick.
