How is it that any parent, guardian, sociologist, psycologist, etc. can tell anyone that they are too young to have sex, when we were created with the ability to conceive children immediately after puberty(around 12 yrs. of age) And didn't the earlier days see marriage and sex at very early ages(early teens)? Why has this changed over the years?

well first of all in the older `days the girls learned all they needed to know about being a mom and a wife before they got married. then they got married. there vare ages too young tio have sex because those ages are not ready to raise children. what are children going to teach children? how to be children. Young kids usually don't hAVE jobs nand then get on welfare. They don't have the children with teh person they wantto be with forever they just have children with who ever they ended up getting pregnant from. Too many young kids get pregnant, drop out of school, get on welfare and any other assistance program available. after one baby only comes two. Maturitry is the biggest issue here and children are not ready to raise children. Some end up doing pretty good jobs, but they could have waited and been more prepared. I got married early and had children, but not just because I got pregnant. You shouldnt be sleeping with people when you dont know how they feel about all the situations that can cpme out of just ahving sex. stds, preganancy, uncurable diseases, ect...

Lifespans in the early days were much shorter than they are now and expectations were different. Mother and child mortality rates were very high until the early-mid 20th century and the younger the mother generally the healthier, specially amoungst the poorer classes where nutrition was generally lacking and conditions were less hygenic. As a rule it was females that married young to sometimes much older males, the urgency to procreate being less in the partner less likely to die during the process.
These days with education, better medical care with minimal mother and child mortality rates and higher expectations amoungst females for careers, along with the advances in fertility treatments, better nutrition and most importantly much more respect for the value women have in society it is acnowledged that our children should be allowed to be children, not have children when they are not emotionally or financially capable of caring for them.
These laws also acnowledge the rights of the children who may be concieved by children who have no real idea of what they may be getting themselves into. The laws also attempt to protect children from unscrupulous adults who want to take advantage of their naievity.

Because "society" recognizes the problem of children having children. Until a person reaches a socially-recognized age of consent, they are considered to be too immature for the responsibility of parenthood. Think about it--how are a couple of 13-year olds going to support a baby without being a burden for society (welfare) or their parents?

Also, "society" has determined that children shouldn't be having sex with one another because they are too inexperienced for the social and emotional consequences.

Chill out kid, you'll have plenty of opportunity to knock off some when you're old enough to handle it. First, work on graduating from high school.

We are not created to conceive....we are created to serve and glorify God.

I would suppose in the early days, in farm communities, multiple children would be a smart idea. If you remember, they also lived with multiple generations so there was plenty of support and no welfare. If I am correct, the average life expectancy was around 40...I also believe that childhood disease was a real concern as was birth defects and miscarriage.....all factors in the change in values and the ability/need to have lots of children and start doing it at a young age.....

You can still choose to conceive at a young age, but its a very long hard road. And frankly, I dont really want to support it...not unless of course, you are willing to support my desire to buy a big ol boat....

When people married very young, life expectancies were much shorter than nowadays. The way people had to live to merely survive tended to instill a higher maturity level in them at a much earlier age than in modern times. Society in general has, as its basic duty, to ensure that children aren't trying to raise children.

I completely agree with you about dictating. But I think there is another side too. In those days a lot of women died giving birth, and a lot of newborn baby's too. So I think it is generally best to wait a little longer to let the body develop and mature a little more these days. We live longer, so we can afford to wait. I also think some people really are ready at the age of about fifteen, but some are not even ready when they are 22, so it remains a very individual choice as long as it ís your choice...

Correct. Henry eighth of England changed history for ever by challenging religious Catholicsm. He was engaged by about 8yr. married when he was about 10 yrs and was going at it with Catherine of Aragon before he was 13yrs.
Jewish boys, African boys were considered men at 12 yrs and could therefore go for it.
Until just recently (about 1800) most parents had their children engaged at birth or not much later.. They were then married at about 12yrs or 13yrs.
Then industrialists wanted to make money. Best way encourage the love thing, wait till they are about 20yrs then encourage them to spend, spend. On weddings, flowers, house etc. best to do this when the person is earning so encourage people to wait until 20yr to do the love thing

earlier days saw human animals going around naked, without clothes and as and when a male or female got into heat they could go about having sex and be true to the fact they were created to conceive children. but now, the way you like you icecream made fresh and clean and in a way that you like, and the way you want many things about yourself and your surroundings to be, similarly some sensible people in their garbs of parents et al have made it easier for all of us to survive decently. you wouldnt understand at this point. the heat is on, and it is unbearable, isnt it?

Because people are morons and think that teens are too young to get married and have babies. I agree I think it's stupid. Kids as young as 13 were getting married and having babies back in the 30s, 40s, and 50s and everyone was fine with that. People seem to have forgotten that once you hit puberty your an adult. At least you teens are adults in my religion.

A 12 year old's body is not designed to carry and deliver a child.
What has changed over the years is the "girls are for breeding only" mentality of years ago.
