Stay calm. No use try to fight back. Just give it a time.
But to control your own anger, I would say..think of yourself with premature wringles anger will cause you.

This is a good question. I battle with anger myself. Each day I take a step towards being at peace. This is what I do. I try to find myself in every situation around me. I ask myself... what make me so angry and why? Who hurt me and why? at the end of all the soul searching I can choose to lay in it or I can let it go. You do know that if anyone has cause you to be bitter, then you allow them to have power over you. Why let that person have power over you? Situations that have damaged you, will cause you to have a quick temper. You have to find out what the problem is and why does it make you so anger. Control it by walking away, laughing at the problem, and mostly, I pray and ask God to renew my heart and my mind, teach me how to be a person of good character.

I had a serious and very destructive anger problem many years ago. One thing helped me, and a second thing taught me a lesson. The thing that helped me was that I met some disciplined neighbors I wanted to be like. It taught me self control. The thing that taught me a lesson was that my moods had chased off a very close friend, and I found myself still having problems I had blamed on them. That was an eye opener. This was a long time ago - if it happened today, I would talk to a therapist and shave a lot of time off that experience. Good luck.

The way to control ones anger is to know that there will be consequences to pay for any actions taken while one is not in control of ones anger.

Excercise - need a way to vent - go take it out on some machines - will also help you feel more relaxed and stress free. Find something, like a hobby, to focus on or better yet a journal so you can see what angers you. Maybe you can change it!! Good luck!

From personal experience ....make a conscious choice not to explode but to take a backward step until the emotion is out of the situation . After a while that will become a conditioned response & life will be a lot more bearable for everyone around you as well as yourself .

Breath.
Next time you have a temper fit. finish, and replay the whole thing in your mind. Did you throw something? growl out loud?
Now see it all, just as if it were on TV and you are watching someone else have the fit you just had.
Now, laugh!!
How ridiculous did it look? That is what everyone else sees. You look as if you I.Q. just lowered, right? Be smarter than your temper and you will look smarter to others.
just breath.

Excellent question. King David in the Bible had a terrible temper, look at all the trouble it got Him into. And yet He was able to write the Psalms of Love that ring true and strong, even in our time. God Bless !!
