Case in point to the core of what I've been saying for some time now--- there is NO win point--- there is no central authority to capitulate the fight---and this "stable centralized government" thing is absolutely laughable (if it wasn't so sad) because the place is so hacked to pieces with factional hatreds and dogma that a stable anything there is a distant dream that not even our great grandchildren could hope to see !! It is a throughly insane war against ethericals !! Bush was told that this would be the case BEFORE he decided to move forward with the invasion-- and it just simply didn't matter at all fo him !!!

The ambition of the invasion of Iraq (as well as the invasion of Afghanistan and the planned invasion of Iran) was to control the world's oil for the benefit of Bu**sh**'s corporate friends.

The "surge" is a desperate last attempt of a failing administration. It wouldn't surprise me if the next step, after this failure, is to nuke Iraq's and Iran's oil fields so that _nobody_ can have the oil, thus driving up the price (and killing a few million muslims while they're at it). Given Bu**sh**'s history of civilian murder and war crimes, it's not a stretch.

Ya know what I dont understand... Is why people only think about themselves and not give a crap about anyone else?

Have you ever met a battered woman? With a handle like "playa" you probably dont care so let me say this... What we have to "win" in Iraq is to get a stable government in force that can take care of itself AND it's people. It's slow but it's making headway more and more every day!

THAT is a win!

have to agree with you..what is there to win? our ppl are getting killed, a friend of mine was killed there in Nov 06, their ppl are getting killed.. i dont see a prize at the end of the jackpot...its like when bush says "we'll stay till the job is done"..Im still waiting to hear and understand what "the job" is...only thing i can see us "winning" is we will leave with the most casulaties and have spent the most money..
