this weekend i went to a baby shower and my best friend went with her boyfriend. the baby shower was nice. but i noticed my friend was so pissed off and ended up leaving early. I called her the next day to see if she was alright and she told me that she accused her man of liking another girl (one of her friends). I asked her what happened and she told me that she just saw them looking at eachother a lot. I told her to relax because everyone looks. its when they touch when it becomes disrespectful. Was I wrong with my advice ... girls look at guys all the time but that doesn't mean we are cheating.

oh yeah he complimented her on her hair and she told him not to give her any compliments. do you think my best friend was wrong in overreacting with her boyfriend just looking?

Whether it's a guy or a girl, when you are in a relationship, a short look is a pretty natural response and there is nothing wrong with that. It's when those short looks turn into long stares or beyond, such as complimenting the other person on some physical attribute, that it becomes a problem.

So, because he kept staring at her and then he complimented her, it was wrong.
