First off, avoid all places that sell or promote Mountain Dew (ie. gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, etc.)

Don't hang out with other people who drink Mountain Dew (there are a lot of Coke drinkers out there. Woo Hoo!

Have some gum aroundthe house and especially in the car for those akward moments of weakness.

As far as the money goes....every time yuo want a Mountain Dew, take out the money and give it to someone. Anyone, you know, the first person you see. You'll ever be a giver or you'll give up your Mountain Dew thoughts quickly.

Good luck...I can't imagine being in your tough spot!

Exercise some will power buddy. Self deception makes us believe we're incapable of quitting our addictions. Draw something on your to remind you that you're strong enough to quit with a sharpie. Then, everytime you feel the urge, take the sharpie and trace the image and strengthen it in your head. Dont let your mind decieve you. I used to smoke three packs a day and quit. So you can quit drinking pop you bastard

I wish I had money on my back.

Look at the label and read the ingredients. Then do some light research online about those ingredients. When you see what terrible things they're doing to you, I think that'll be motivation enough to quit.

I agree, don't buy it. I've noticed when I don't have it in the house in the first place, I don't feel like drinking it. I just told hubby last night not to bring home any soda that I like unless I tell him to because he spends too much on it (buying name brands vs. generic) and its waste of money. Also, I'm trying to lose weight and cut back on soda. So if he just keeps kinds I don't like in the house and he does, we save money and I stop drinking soda.

Shift to coffee. its cheaper.

You have to taper off of the caffine slowly. 3 cups of coffee has about the caffeene of 2 cans of Mt Dew. So, to start try cutting back to 1 cup of coffee for each can you used to drink.

If you get a splitting headache... drink a half cup of coffee extra.

Slowly, reducing by 1 cup of coffee a day each week you can get off the caffeene. Trying to go faster you will think your head is going to explode.

buy two bottles of drinks, arrive at a mountain. Then hold both with your hands, and start running.. run run run and shout 'I WANT TO QUIT I WANT TO QUIT'. then just swear harsh on your own, throw the bottles to break, listen to the sound and keep in your mind forever.

after you're worn out, walk back home and leave your car there. change your life, your love, your work, your whole entire lifestyle.

START NEW, START NEW, START NEW
LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO THINK IF TO QUIT
I QUITED SMOKING WITHOUT THOSE STUPID NEW FASHIONE THINGS THEY TELL US TO TAKE TO QUIT.

HAVE YOU GOT THE WILL POWER? IF NOT, START MAKING IT NOW, OR ELSE IT WILL BE TOO LATE ONE DAY... LIVE TODAY, NOT TOMORROW!
