For about a year I've been totally into this girl and her into me most times. We've had a couple of dates and done other couple-y things, without going into any detail. But basically she's playing me hot and cold -- one day she's all over me and the next she totally ignores me.
What do you guys/girls do, or what should you do, when you're being played hot and cold?

You need to give off "VIBES" dude.. She doesn't know if you want her or not.. Let her know if you WANT to be with her. A year with only a couple of dates? Doesn't sound like you are interested and she is going out for the fun of it. She might be interested if you show more DESIRE!!
You need to turn the tap to HOT if you want warm hands....

It must be her period or she must feel awkward after you guys do the couple-y things that you mention. This could also mean that shes not sure of her self especially in how you feel for her...
Women can be insecure and unsure sometimes thats why you should assure them that you are certain of how you feel for them this way she won't treat you hot and cold...
Have you ever told her how you feel??? This might make her feel awkward but be straight forward and head strong especially when you tell her how you feel...
