Swimming or power walking are both excellent cardio exercises, but they also really target those areas that us ladies find the weight always goes to!I also have one of those lateral thigh trainers, which are excellent if you want to do it in the comfort of your own home.Bought mine on ebay for about £20.10 minutes a day and you can really see and feel the difference.

I am absoloutly addicted to Kickboxing, My partner got me intoo it, shes been doing it for a year now and she has gained an awfull lot from it, specifically she has tightened up all those lose fleshy areas that so many women seem to worry about, her muscle tone is looking great, she has never felt healthier. her confidence has improved plenty, made a number of friends and as an added bonus i know that should she ever end up in a dangerous situation she does have a better chance to look after herself.
i would highly reccomend Kickboxing to anyone. great for health fitness, welfare and genral wellbeing and gives you a real sense of achievement when you start noticing the difference it makes.

if your in the Northwest region of england i can strongly reccomend NWCKB (north west chinese kick boxing) an excellent club with excellent instructors.

Those who are gona give it a try, make sure you join a good club with a good trainer/instructer. the club and instructers will make it or break it for you.

(please note that kickboxing is addictive, i started at 1 lesson a week and am now doing 4-6 lessons a week, and would happily do more if finances allowed)

FYI, lessons tend to cost £4 too £5, this is less than 2 drinks at a night club, as much as a pack of fags or a taxi ride or around the cost of a couple of magazines, the benefits of joining a good kickboxing club are numerous. it reallly is money well spent.

Lunges
How to do... lunges

Lunges are designed to help increase the strength in your upper leg and tone your bottom.

Some people like to do them using no weights at all.

Others prefer to rest a barbell behind their neck or even hold dumbbells in their hand to increase the intensity.

Don't use weights if you're under 16.

STEP ONE

Stand with your legs together and then lunge forward with your left leg so your leg is right out in front of you.

STEP TWO

As you are lunging, bend your knee and flex your hip so your rear leg is almost in contact with the floor.

Make sure you land on the heel of your front foot first and then bring the front of your foot down.

STEP THREE

Finally, return to your starting position by extending the hip and knee of the left leg.

Now try it with your right leg lunging and repeat ten or fifteen times.

Good luck...............

Well for me Pilate's is the best workout for your abs. I have winsor Pilate's accelerated workout and I've notice a difference, my body is more toned. But of course i do another exercise as well, because Pilate's burns little calories its good to do another cardio exercise with i,t to get better and faster results. I also do some strength training to speed up my metabolism and I eat healthy. Good luck !!!

Running and swimming are a great way to lose weight and look better. And what's more, although the first six or seven times will be absolutely horrible, the ones after that are very enjoyable and leave you feeling most refreshed.

Squats tone up all the aforementioned bodyparts.
If you have subcutaneous fat stores, you will not be able to see the underlying 'toned' muscles. You need to do cardio to get rid of these fat stores.
