Once the plaque on your teeth calcifies and turns to tarter, or calculus, it can not be removed unless removed by a professional. Special instruments with blades are used to remove the tarter. That is why it is so important to brush your teeth and be effective in removing plaque. Call your dentist and make an appt for a cleaning. Not removing the tarter can cause gum and bone recession and can cause you teeth to become loose.

Go see your dentist's hygienist for a thorough cleaning. If the local college has a dental hygiene program, ask if they have a clinic where the students can practice on live patients. You can often get your teeth cleaned for a greatly reduced price this way, as well as help a student practice skills they will need for the real world.

Yes, of course, the thing is, I would take saltwater taffy and rub it across my teeth. Then, I would go buy some Jelly Belly jellybeans! After I would pig out on lots of junk and candy and finally I would go to the dentist and get a full check-up on my teeth. Make sure to buy your dentist a big bowl of French Onion Soup, I heard they love it.
