He fails to make follow up appointments, fails to check blood count on regular basis, or doseage count. I am on a drug that needs carefull management due to toxic. I am epyleptic.
It is always me that has to ring to find out when and where, then he fails to appear or postpones.

I don't know which country you are in but in the UK your family Doctor would be the person to tell and his job is to make sure that you are 'followed up'.

Assuming you are in the UK, a good starting point is your Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at the NHS Trust or Primary Care Trust (PCT) where you received your NHS treatment. You will find the relevant phone numbers in the local phone book.

If you go to the GMC they will only ask you if you have gone through the local channels first and refer you back to the local NHS Trust or PCT.

Don't be scared about complaining - your consultant may not realise just how distressed he is making you.

Don't mess about - go straight to the GMC. They will know the proper channels for complaint procedures.

Its his secretary you need to blame, not him.

Ring her up and give her a roasting.
