No. Illegal means what it says. The Authorities should be firm with illegality as they are with errant people in this country (UK)

This country is so reliant on foreign workers, why shouldn't there be an amnesty. For the most part illigal immigrants live in a limbo existence. They are not poncing of the state because they cannot get benefit without the proper paperwork. Therefore they have no option but to take poorly paid jobs for low life employers who in extreme instances abuse them very badly. Don't forget the Morcambe bay incident. They need to be given the opportunity to come forward, explain their reasons for being here and at least benefit from the protection of the law. I have nothing bt respect for someone who must have come from some serious trouble if they are prepared to put up with the living and woking conditions they find themselves in when they arrive in this 'gloriously backward thinking little country' we call the UK

NO !!!!

There should be No amnesty for illegal immigrants. I only hope that the government bring in identity cards for British Nationals sooner rather than later, and with the use of iridology, and whatever else it takes to stop the falsification of documents. I am fed up with all the freeloaders coming to our Country it is just getting beyond a joke.

I am no racist, and am happy for people to come to our country and live if they do it in the proper manner, and abide by our laws. If they don't like how the British live then let them go home or somewhere else. But I object to the illegal immigrants coming here and being a drain on the country's resources.

I'm not surprised,Very few in Britain believes in real values and hospitality, nobody here says anymore welcome unless they really need you,shame..government should not take into consideration these skeptics but it ii the time right now to act and to regularize them.Do you understand what does mean to be far from your family for years?illegal?half of population is doing illegal things here.No government will lose voters because of immigrants, people here are facing other issues more important than that.It only take up to a certain limit, Are you happy when you go on holidays and these(immigrants) cover you because for them there is not any holiday???Shame again,Life is too Short and you get what you plant ,,angry?yes when it comes to talk about immigrants is like when they stop you from taking benefits which again comes from immigrants sweat..shame..

No. This has been done in the past as it is just a slippery ploy by the government to clear the shambolic immigration system.
Perhaps there should be an amnesty for the fed up tax paying population and illegals should have all their benefits frozen!

the illegal immigrants won't come forward not unless they get a cash bonus for it! our boarders need to be tighter not just in the UK but in mainland Europe as well. the home office needs more power so that they can get on with the job of hunting these people down and sending them back to their own country of origin or at least to the last country they were in before they got to the UK, whats betting that would be France.

No they should be shipped back to where they came from.

In this country you do not have to have a birth certificate in order to claim benefits, they just say that they were born in a remote village where births are not registered, and we take their word. Then they claim saying that they have been working part time and have never made enough money to pay tax or N.I contributions then some idiot gets them a N.I number.

No.

We could have amnesty for some illegals who report people smugglers or do something for the country.

But if people want to come to the UK, why not do it legally? Many illegals have something to hide, and we can't always prove it in court. It's better to boot them out.

Are you one of those illegals? Then pray for Gordon Brown to win the next general elections. With David Cameron, well God knows where he will be heading.

No this country is full. Have you any idea what all this immigration does to impact on employment, housing and healthcare in this country? Or are you too stupid and selfish?

The UK ain't America. We aren't begging "give me your poor, tired and huddled masses". We have enough poor tired huddled sods over here already thanks, and we ain't got room for any more! Go somewhere else. Door's closed!
