All of these answers are good, but you're still left with making sure that the meat is tender. What I do is cut the ribs into serving sizes (usually 2-3 rib sections). I simmer them in a mixture of beef oxo, oregano, basil, onion and salt for about 1.5 - 2 hours, or until the meat is fork tender.

You can then take any commercial barbeque sauce that you like and jazz it up. For a bottle of sauce add 1/2 cup brown sugar, 3 cloves finely minced garlic, 1/2 cup ketchup, oregano, basil and, if you like some zip, several good shakes of cayenne. Warm all these up together in a pot.

Take the steaming meat and cover it *thoroughly* with your sauce. The best thing is to allow it to marinate for a few hours, overnight is better but you can also toss it right into the oven.

Bake 350F for 1/2 hr for the best ribs in the world.

Note: allowing the ribs to be boiled in broth not only gives the meat an incredible flavour but cooks a lot of the fat out of it, so it's a healthier way to have ribs.

Save the broth - you also have a bonus of a wonderful soup base!

Enjoy!

Not A Recipe As Such Darl But If You Marinade The Ribs In A Good Teriaki Or Honey And Mustard Mixture You Wont Go Far Wrong. For Personal Preferance I'd Mix Up A Little Flaked Salt Some Good Olive Oil, Garlic Ginger And Your Favourite Dried Herb Mix And Let The Ribs Marinade In That Overnite If You Can Otherwise Do Them First And As They Marinade Prep Your Other Bits And Pieces.
Hope You Like My Suggestion Darl.

A great bbq for pork, beef or chicken
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons steak sauce
1 teaspoon garlic salt
2 teaspoons liquid smoke flavoring
1 teaspoon onion powder
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons lemon juice
4 drops hot pepper sauce, or to taste
4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons whiskey
DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan combine ketchup, steak sauce, garlic salt, liquid smoke, onion powder and brown sugar. Add lemon juice, pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce and whiskey. Warm over medium low heat until simmering.
Refrigerate for at least one hour before using, to let flavors mingle. Brush on meat during the last few minutes of grilling or baking.
