They are dropping charges because the drugs or (ICE} came back negitive in a lab test. What is the reason for the drug "ICE", to not test in some cases, then test possitive in others.?

Probably because the ICE wasnt ice if you know what I mean. It was something else. He should still go to jail for shooting your brother and if not let us know and we will protest for you.

So the drugs weren't what they were. "Burn bags" or whatever else they may be called and were being sold as dope. No better way to have a pissed-off customer come back and wanting to kill you because you sold them a placebo.
However...the shooting will hold. Assault/attempted murder is just that. The only problem is that coupled with the narcotics would result in a much more severe sentence. But don't worry. In alot of states if the police find that your selling something and claim it's dope to your customers than when caught the courts consdier it dope. Even though it's not. Its the intent...not the product that they hang their (the prosecuter) hat on.

Drugs lose their potency over time so if it was not properly stored or for a period of time, that could account for the negative. But what type of test was initially done when it allegedly tested positive? Or was it some screw up that you're not privy to?

Or in all probability it could be the drug dealer is becoming a confidential informant -- hence, the seemingly impossible change in test results.

I am sorry about your brother. A lot of times though, police officers make mistakes in the call of duty. When you bust up in someone's house and you are about to ruin their lives the police need to make sure they have all of their information. Your brother probably would have been just as quick to pull a gun on someone running up in his house right? I have heard about quite a few tragedies this year involving the breaking in and serving a warrant by police officers. Near Atlanta, police raided an old ladies house thinking she was some narcotics dealer and ended up shooting her to death. An innocent old woman that was unarmed and alone. Near where I grew up, a college kid and his dog were shot to death by police in Wilmington North Carolina, over a Playstation 3. They thought the kid was holding a gun in his hand when it was really a remote control. Police should not be so quick to bust up in someone's business and the more stories I hear, this should not even be legal anymore. WEll I hope your brother is ok and I hope this crap can get figured out. We have enough problems in our country, these things are the last things we need.

Because our legal system gives all the power to the criminals and the victims are only instruments of the State. As long as defense attorneys can find legal loopholes to beat the rap the criminals are free to go on with their murderous, criminal ways. Our legal system, now inundated with liberal judges and litigious society has all the advantages and the victims and their families are forgotten. Their rights are just not protected. Our legal system needs to be revised but as long as liberals are in control nothing will change.

Police, the Border Control, all law enforcements' are always risking being the 'bad guy' while doing their job and trying to preserve our safety. As a Nation, we are in trouble.

The dealer was probably selling bunk drugs.
might have been crushed-up OTC pharmaceuticals.
