it does. but it only HELPS... if you're stuffing your face with high fat foods all day long, a green tea really isn't going to make much difference. all it does is help to speed up your metabolism, which in turn helps to burn fat faster. other things which help metabolism are spicy food, eating smaller meals more often (most importantly breakfast) getting proper amounts of sleep, and of course exercise.

Drinking lots of green tea, as far as your weight is concerned, does the same effect than drinking lots of water, which is fundamental. But both work the same way. Green tea has been shown to have to other properties for other purposes, but where weight is concerned, water is just as good.
