Aside from the birth of my two boys, I would say getting out of my unfufilling marriage. Yes, definately the best thing I ever did for myself.

Landing a crippled plane; once out of fuel and the other time broken ailerons...of course, they had to use 4 people to extract the seat cushion from my butt, but I was otherwise physically okay!
