My three year old niece lives with my brother and his wife in a house built in 1750. two times that I have babysat her she has woken up screaming. The first time she was in her cot, she woke up screaming pointing at a rocking chair in her room saying ‘nana, nana’ this affected her and she wouldn’t go back to bed. All of her grandparents are alive. This has also happened with my brother. The most recent time I have babysat her she woke up and came downstairs screaming (she is now in a bed) and said that someone had crept up on her, and that her dad was pretending to be a wolf, but her dad wasn’t there, yet she still insisted that someone had crept up on her. The house doesn’t usually have any bad feelings about it although I do know that there was a fire in her room but that was fairly recently and I don’t think anyone was hurt. Could you explain this?!

The demons also like to scare people. Sometimes they pretend to be people who have died. They may even imitate voices of those who have died. In this way the demons fool many into believing that dead people are alive and can talk with the living. Yes, the demons cause many people to believe in ghosts.

So we must be on guard that Satan and his demons do not fool us. The Bible warns: ‘Satan tries to make himself look like a good angel, and his servants do the same.’ (2 Corinthians 11:14, 15) But, really, the demons are bad. Let’s see how they may try to get us to be like them.

Where do people learn a lot about violence and improper sex and spirits and ghosts?— Isn’t it from watching certain television shows and movies, playing computer and video games, going on the Internet, and reading comic books? Does doing these things bring us closer to God or closer to the Devil and his demons? What do you think?—

Who do you think wants us to listen to and watch bad things?— Yes, Satan and his demons do. So, what do you and I need to do?— We need to read, listen to, and watch things that are good for us and that will help us to serve Jehovah. Can you think of some of these good things that we can do?—

If we do what is good, there is no reason to be afraid of the demons. Jesus is stronger than they are, and they are afraid of him. One day the demons cried out to Jesus: “Did you come to destroy us?” (Mark 1:24) Won’t we be happy when the time comes for Jesus to destroy Satan and his demons?— In the meantime, we can be sure that Jesus will protect us from the demons if we keep close to him and his heavenly Father.

Let’s read about what we need to do, at 1 Peter 5:8, 9 and James 4:7, 8.

well,there can be two cases.
1) she might have seen a horror programme. i have heard that small children have greater power of retention and they remember whatever they see on television for long time and take it as a incident of there own life. even when i was of three or four years,i used to watch a lot of horror programmes and used to suddenly get up from my sleep and ask about the whereabouts of my family even if they was standing in front of me.

2) or somebody might have done black magic on her.but i belive black magic is just a superstition.

she needs to be explain that emotions such as fear, horror and the stupid word ghost are manmade.i hope she will remove this fear from her mind

It's possible they are ghosts. Ghosts could be seen in places where something dramatic happened, or maybe the ghosts themselves need help. There are probably more reasons, but these are the 2 im certain of. Sometimes when a death mystery is unsolved or forgotten the ghost of the victim might appear. I don't think they can physically hurt you but i would be scared to death if i saw one

arewethereyet is right

sure kids can be a bit insightful, even creepy now and again (when my daughter was 3 she told me god was in the corner of her bedroom telling her to quit playing and go to sleep, and could i please tell him to be quiet, she can't sleep when there's talking!)

usually though, especially at that age, it's just night terrors. the wolf thing sounds like how a three year old might interpret little red riding hood. or even the big bad wolf.

Yes, I can. She was dreaming and had nightmaries. At 3, kids also experience night terrors, where they seem to be awake but are caught up in the midst of a dream with their eyes open. It's a scary thing to witness, but does not mean ghosts.

Seriously, google "night terrors" and you'll see that her problem is nothing more than being 3 :)

Are you Christians? If not, you must commit your lives to Jesus Christ and then rebuke Satan and his demons from your house. Ask God to reveal anything in the house that may be an invitation for demonic spirits and get rid of it.

I agree with the other person who said it's demons! A child of that age cannot make up this crap! She is seeing what she says! Only it is demons tricking her making themselves look like someone she knows. Pray for her and in your prayer make sure you say that You REBUKE them in the name of Jesus. Or when she comes down next time like that go in that room and say that. It will help.

if u cant move away from this place, u need to teach her to live with it, explain that it is nothing wrong there, it is part of our life and only difference is that the most of people r blind to things she sees, with time it will disappear, but if she struggles to suppress it, it may become trauma... watch movie Sixth sense

cheers

No, your 3 year old niece is having nightmares.

They have active imaginations and difficulty differentiating dreams from reality, even after they wake up.
