If the size of the content is fixed, then the only thing that will make the burn go faster is to purchase faster hardware or a different burning program.

Hey,
I found a free download of Nero here http://bitly.com/VMdWiC

Nero supports burning audio, video and data to CD, DVD or Blu-ray Disc.

Bye Bye

Jim Jo,

I'm assuming your getting Nero to convert AVI / MPG files to DVD VOB files on the fly. This will take a long time to convert these files based on the speed of your computer.

Do you need them in DVD format? I burn the avi/mpg direct as data files and my DVD Player can play these. This will only take you 20 minutes to burn (8x) instead of 3 hours. You will have to test this.

There are many packages out there that will convert to DVD for free. Read about them at Doom9 website. ConvertXtodvd is a commercial and you need to pay for this software.

I have the Nero program and I've never had this problem-either they burn or don't. You can adjust the speed (you have this option before you burn) and see how that works. Otherwise, I would guess that either you're computer is screwed, or your program is.

it depends on the "burning" speed of your dvd player/recorder and on the "burning" speed of the laser disc...
choose the latter with the highest "burning" speed and check the max speed of the recorder... (also check the speed for burning u set within nero soft... set it for "maximum")
