I don't quite understand what has happened here. But it seems your husband is trying to get out of paying child support.
What I would do if I were you, is hire a civilian attorney. If you cannot afford one, sometimes state's social services provide legal assistance in cases such as this. Get a DNA test ordered, and then get a court order for child support. With that information, you can force him to pay, whether he wants too or not. With a court order in hand, you can take it to base Disbursing and have them allot the money from his check.

Because you aren't devorced yet. They really can't get a military ID, though, since you need an actual picture ID. I suggest you get that divorce finalized ASAP, get your child support going through, and maybe alimony if he was supporting you, and you had no idea that he was "unhappy in the marriage."
Also start documenting everything. Take inventory on what is yours and what is his.
I'm sorry that this is happening to you. Things will pick up.

This isn't a military thing, it is that you haven't done what you need to take care of the situation. You need to file for divorce or separation in family court. You need to have a court determine paternity, then they will decide the amount of child support to be paid. Until then, most guys aren't just going to pony us random cash to you. Once you have a award letter of child support, your attorney and they court can forward it to his command if he still doesn't pay then they can attach his LES. Just asking for him to pay money is not going to work. Go to court!

You know I think gym is right and I am a military wife. In my experience the military is going to tke care of their own first and like most things in the military it is way too political on the inside. Everybody knows everybody. Go off base and find you an attorney. Most places will listen to your case first before they charge you a fee.

I think you need to get a lawyer, call local bar association they should be able to direct you to someone. Or try your area's Human services office.
Good luck to you and your child.

file a complaint in the local court.
If he is doing as you say, he's committing fraud.
If the military won't go after him, the civilian court system certainly can.
