Preaching is probably not the best approach.
Allowing a prisoner access to knowledge and allowing them to ask questions would work better.

Yes as long as it is their choice to attend or not. In prison you have that choice in many county jails you don't. If you are locked in a cell and a captive audience it is wrong. God should not be forced.

The best way out of prison is God rehabilitating you. Preachers don't tell the inmates that they have done wrong, they already know that, they offer them a way to find a right way.

Good? They're like the perfect audience!

They have no where to go to escape you.
They are at the lowest ebb in their life, so anything else looks better.
If they convert, the administrators seem to view them more favorably, so there's great motivation.

I mean really, would you rather preach to a bunch of college students who have options and have learned to think for themselves?

I think that preaching to anyone would not hurt anything. Now wether they listen to you or agree with you opinions thats a totally different thing. You can't force your ideas on anyone, you can offer them to them and see if they agree. If not, then thats thier right.
