I will be honest, women seem to either be appreciative of romantic gestures or do not understand them. What is up with that?

I appreciate romantic gestures- it's been a long time since I witnessed one though. My ex was totally unromantic (notice he's my EX) and that was the reason I became unhappy with the relationship. He would see me pull in the driveway with groceries, and wouldn't even open the door for me when I was carrying in the bags! He never stopped and picked flowers for me, even though there were all kinds on the road leading to our house and he knew I loved them. When we went somewhere, not only would he NOT open my car door for me, he would be halfway into the store before I got out. He never left me a sweet note, or held my hand when we walked or rode in the car. He never offerred to rub my back, and only would agree to do it if I agreed to rub his first. JEEZ! Why was I even with him???

Mwn and women who have been hurt either physically, or emotionally may need time to learn to trust again. This is the gist of the whole thing. They may be afraid of getting hurt again in their replationships.

I think your right about some women who don't understand romance. A woman friend of mine told me she hates it when a man opens doors for her on a date because she feels like this behavior would never last. :(
As for me, I adore romance!!
So, it just depends on the woman.

Nothing is "up with that"... Men and women are swapping roles and ideas in the modern world... More women want "no strings" sex instead of relationships... :D

They actually pretend and check how viable the other person is and then react , this reaction takes some time.
