Well, what good would it be to use a yo-yo diet to get to a size 6 if you just gain the weight right back? What would you do with all your new clothes?
If you really want to lose weight... well, not lose weight, but have a healthy body, then you need to eat a well-balanced, calorie-restricted diet of whole grains, fruit, vegetables, low-fat dairy, and lean meat. Drink plenty of water, and exercise consistantly. You should be doing this anyways as part of a healthy lifestyle.
For now, what is it about a size 6 that you want? What is wrong with a size 8? What do you hate about your body? If it's little things here and there, then you can probably improve your body (and health) with moderate exercise... start off with 30 minutes 3 times a week. It will make a difference, and release happy little endorphines in your brain, which elevates your mood and self-image.
Good luck... and keep in mind that not everyone's skeleton's will fit into a size 6, not to mention the muscles and skin that wrap around your bones. Concentrate on a healthy lifestyle, and the body will follow.

Honestly, if you get to a size 6 you will be so weak , you will be tired all the time, and you will have no energy. You will get ill easier. You will not look good. You will have trouble buying clothes to fit. Why do you want to be a 6? You allready know people don't find it attractive because you more or less said so in your question. Men certainly wouldn't fancy you. They like boobs and a bit of meat to cuddle. I think you should go to see a councellor or at least a doctor. Why do you hate your body? You are allready an 8, which is very slim. You obviously have no fat or flab or anything else that you can hate. Try getting a tan instead if you want to try to make your self look better, or get some acrylic nails done, or change your hairstyle. Paint your toes. Any thing but just don't get ill by loosing more weight. Please.Talk to someone.

Actually, a UK size 6 is more like a US size 0! Go check out any clothes sizing chart, UK size 6 measurements are 31-23-33 to 32-24-34. So why on earth would you want to lose weight when you are already a very slender UK size 8-10, which is about a US size 4.
If you still want to lose weight, then I think you have some serious issues, go see a doctor before you end up with a full blown eating disorder!

I recently did the Lemon detox thing, and yes you do lose weight but be prepared to stay at home and by the bathroom the whole time. ALSO be prepared to put half of the weight back on. this isn't really intended to lose weight. it is more of a detox to get the toxins and cleanse your system. You might also want to take into consideration that not everyone is built to be a size 2. It may not be healthy or even possible to fit your bone structure into a 2. I would say high fiber, low carb, low fat diet with 30 mins of cardio and 30 mins of weight training a day 4- 5 days a week.Use lighter weight more reps to get a toned look. Don't use heavy weights with fewer reps then you will "Bulk" muscle. Good luck.

I myself think its personally disgusting to be that thin what kind of curves would you have to even show ur a woman, but for you its not losin weight prob just going to the gym, if you diet you'll end up killin urself, do urself a favor and ask about 10 - 20 male friend what size they prefer to see on a woman and be happy with the 8 - 10 you are. I'm a 10 - 12, 10 is a nice size to be. A lot of my male friends like somethin to grab onto in a woman not to play xylophone on ur ribs and hips.

You are a healthy size. A size 6 is very small and unless you are naturally small i wouldn't diet to get that size.
You run all sorts of health risks buy dieting to get that size. i
Be pleased you have your health than worrying about being a size 6.
the best help i can offer you is to eat healthy, take exercises, drink plenty of water and do not starve yourself otherwise you will end up in a wooden box

You don't want to be a size 6. You might think you will be happy but do you really think all of those skinny models are happy. The answers no simply because they don't eat enough. Body image isn't everything and I'm sure you have got a bad body image anyway. Think about it carefully before you do anything. You will be hurting your body if you don't eat properly and more serious problems could arise from all of it .

Eat lettuce and drink water - hang on, a girl died a few weeks ago in South America after doing that didn't she?
Just lose a sensible amount of weight to get rid of lumps and bumps - the usual - eat HEALTHILY (that's fruit and veg, no junk food or takeaways) and DO EXERCISE. Personally size 6 I think is too thin but that's up to you what you think.

If you want to disappear then all you can do is stop eating.....why anyone wants to do this kind of thing to themselves is beyond me! Being a uk 6 will not make you feel any better, I think you have emotional reasons for aspiring to this body image and it is that that needs to be addressed rather than your weight. Look after yourself.

exercises and low stress, and eat right, if your body can get their it will, but dont force it cause that Will be nothing but harm, exercising is not that bad it will be better in the long run, and dont take any pills bc it is horrible for your body you need to keep your body in a good condition if u take weight loss pills then your hair and nails get week and break and less good looking so youll look bad and your energy drained with pills to, so just do it right dont take any supplements
