HI Ginger,
Jesus' bones are not on this earth. HE arose from the grave and 40 days later was taken into heaven. HE left no remains for our disection. HIS family members are now the Christians who are following HIS Written WORD. Are you a Christian? You do have an opportunity to become one and to be among the saved at Judgment. Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
1. We must HEAR GOD’s WORD. - Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
2. We are told to BELIEVE. - To the Prison guard in Acts 16:31 Paul and Silas said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
3. We must REPENT (turn from) of our sins. - Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
4. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST before men. - Matthew 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
5. We are to enter the waters and BE BAPTIZED. - Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
6. We are told to CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL until death. - Revelation 2:10b Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Send me a note if you have questions. I am anxious to hear from you. Have a Great day.

No. What they are claiming to have found are the bones of James, who was the brother of Jesus, and the first leader of the Christian church in Jerusalem after the resurrection of Jesus.
He is mentioned in the New Testament, as well as in the wiritngs of the Jewish historian Josephius, who lived at the same time as James. He tells us that James was stoned to death in front of the temple by Jewish leaders for preaching about Jesus. He is also believed to be the author of the epistle of James near the end of the New Testament.
The "bone box" was labled as containing the bones of "James, the son of Joseph and the brother of Jesus". As "last names" were not common in that era, it remains to be since whether these are actually the bones of the New Testament James, or someone with the same name, the same father's name and the same brother's name. As the listing of a brother is extremely rare unless the brother was a very important person, the inclusion fo the name Jesus would indicate that this "Jesus" had to have been someone very very important. And as the style of box used and method of burial was only common for about a 50 year period in history, it indicates that the box comes from the correct time in to history to be able to contain the NT James.
But as the box was only found recently, testing on it is not complete. Have not follow the story in a couple years, so do not know the lastest developments....

Even if you are an atheist, you probably believe that Jesus actually existed and was hung on a cross. You may not believe He was the Son of God and you may not believe that He was resurrected, but even most atheist believe the account of His life is probably true.
Sooooo, if the bones of three people, a woman and two men, were found together, then they can't be Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Jesus was not even buried in His own tomb, He was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea (sp?). Mary and Joseph were buried many years later, when they died. So how is it possible? Well, it's not, that's how lol

Oy, I was waiting for someone to ask this question ...
Do you remember about 4 years ago there was a "James ossuary" that was found? The finder touted it as a box that held the bones of Jesus' alleged brother, James. Later, it was found to be a forgery, although no one is blaming the finder as a forger.
The same "archeologists" who relentlessly touted the James ossuary are behind this "discovery:" the Biblical Archeology Society. This, in and of itself, is enough to question their findings.
This is yet another assault on the Christian faith. Remember, we were warned by Jesus, Peter and Paul that this would happen in the end times. Be prepared for wonderful follow-up of this by various Christian organizations. In the meantime, do not let your faith be shaken by the devil. We tend to give him too much power over our lives as it is.

A movie producer finds the bones of what he calls "the holy family," but leaves them out in a courtyard, from which they are stolen before anyone can see them. Sounds a little like a publicity stunt to me.

No, Jesus and mary Joesph were common names then, and also, Tombs were expensive to own/buy, Jesus and his family were not known as rich,
This is just another biased Movie producer who is like Dan Brown, trying to attack the faith out of biased hatred for Christianity, James Cameron is just joining the ranks.
