She's your Ex for a reason, and you should keep it that way.
This woman may love you, but her actions obviously leave something to be desired. She sounds like she's using and stringing along her other ex, I mean who gives someone 5k to buy a car for no reason? Is that really the kind of person you want to be with? Especially if she's lied about it and hidden it from you.
You have red flags going up everywhere and for good reason. Trust your instincts and don't get back together with her. This problem will not just magically go away, even if she "swears" not to talk to her ex anymore. It's all to fishy, save yourself the heartache.
Good luck

Hi, if some ones hung up on their ex its better to let them go. If they trully love and care for you they would not need that ex to be apart of his/her life.
I was in a relationship like that, it lasted for years, in the end if felt like I just worked so hard trying to make some one happy when they couldn't even see that I was there cos they were too busy being hung up on their ex... Weird thing is now Im out of that relationship and my ex is now hung up on me, I feel sorry for his girlfriend and I told him I won't that person, hopefully his new Gf isn't as stupid as me!

Of course she doesn't think there's anything wrong with talking to her ex because she's using him! In no way is it acceptable to take money of any amount from your ex!
And, if she really loved you, regardless if they were just friends, she would end her friendship with him.
If she really loved you, it would be your feelings that come first, not her feelings for this 'friendship'
Dump her, and move on.

Hmmm....I am thinking she might be wanting both worlds. Listen to the little voice in your head. If you are hearing words of warning, heed them! Step lightly and a little to the side, meaning take a look from all sides of this picture. I have a suspicion she might be cheating on both of you.

I am sorry such things happen in a fragile society. We, in India do not encounter such situations where your ex is getting money from her ex and she says she still loves you. It looks very hypothetical and absured.

Feel you are still to trust her. Tell her your thinking & ask her to win your confidence.
Getting more broad minded would alswo help you.
