G'day,

First of all... Ranjeeh... All universities in Australia accept and recognise the qualification from each other, since all universities in Australia have the same level.

Now to answer your question 3, yes, you can apply, but you will need to have a decent results from ECU. This means that you cannot fail more than twice on the same subjects, and you show improvements on your results towards the end of your study. This is a general rule for admissions to any universities in Oz.

Hmmm.. 2.5yrs to finish double degree... so I take it that you got some credit transfer from your study in China. You MIGHT finish your study in 2yrs if you take some summer classes. However please be advised that not all subjects are available for summer class. You can only take maximum 4 subjects in 1 semester. The university MIGHT allow you to overload the enrolment in the final semester, but I dun think you will be able to sleep or eat at all mate ;)... and then you may not get the good results required to continue your master degree study. So my suggestion: if possible, dun overload.

Hope this helps. E-mail me at mikegun@studentfirst.com.au if you have any further questions. Good luck on your study and welcome to Australia.

Edith Cowan Uni is a very easy to get into, so your results there may count for very little. WA has lower standards in education than many other areas, so it is easier to get into a WA uni than an eastern states uni in sydney or melbourne. 2.5 years is a very short time for a double degree, I would say that you should not rush your degree, be patient.

Provided that you pay your fees you should have no problem in getting any degree at ECU. I'm not sure if Sydney and Melbourne Unis have a high regard for ECU.
