The term "delicadeza" in the Philippines basically means "prudence". Philippines used to be a Spanish colony and is a Catholic country.

Public Officials who are deemed corrupt are usually asked to resign out of "delicadeza".

It may only mean delicacy in the sense of the property of being delicate (gentle, caring, sensible)(esp. in the way one acts.)

According to the Real Academia Española dictionary, "pride" is not within it's meanings.
