HI
Check out Aston Hotels recently renamed Resortquest they are really good, look for hotels away from the main strip ie on Ala Wai Canal we found some great ones there all very reasonable often with a continental breakfast thrown in, also Ohana Hotels thay are the cheaper end of the Ourigger Chain, I have stayed in both of the above and they are both good.

You can get affordable prices in renting a condo in Hawaii, and are able to do some of your own meals there, some condo's are big enough to sleep 8 people and can share the expense. Check for condo rentals and look for the most affordable rates. You can find great deals in renting a condo and still have the same or even better acommadiations. Aloha and Happy Vacationing in Hawaii!

hawaii's hotels are expensive to stay in but you can do some looking around and find some good deals. the aston group hotels are good priced hotels. cheaphotels.com also has some good bargains. do not expect too much with any hotel under $100 night though. as they always say you get what you pay for.

If you visit Maui, I would suggest the Maui Coast Hotel in Kihei. I stayed there once and it was clean, modern, well maintained and reasonably priced. You will not get the fancy room you would get in Wailea, but you will be literally across the street from three of the best beaches on Maui: Kamaole I, II and III, Plus lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance.

The Pagoda in Honolulu has great prices, and the Maui Islander is awsome in both price and service. These are not top of the line but both are nice places. When in Hawaii you really don't spend too much time in a motel room anyway.

Try Outrigger hotels. They have a variety. From off the beach and inexpensive to on the beach and a bit pricier. Be carefull in Honolulul tho. The ones off the beach tend to be bit run down. As always.....you get what you pay for.

Not true about the price if i am right you can have 10 days in Hawaii for under $1000. Try this site http://unusedrooms.travelhero.com/index.cfm/aid/1350/index.html it will give you the best prices around and you can book in advance.
