He didn't make the ten commandments for morons like you, He made them for everyone else to know them for morons like you. Nice try though Petie, good luck at next year's special Olympics.

The day you start to beleive in the word of God you might see things differently. Although they are points to consider, What God has done for man is so overwhelming.
Go and hear a preacher talk about the love of God and what Jesus actually did for you. It will add strength to your faith.
And questions like this will be a thing of the past.

The Commandments (whether the 10 or the much shortened but still comprehensive 2) were not written for God.
He established them for us IMPERFECT humans.
And yes the honoring abusive parents. You don't have to hang around them to honor them, don't even have to pretend their behavior was okay. To honor a parent who is or was abusive is to acknowledge that they brought you into this world.
Read your bible about the "sabbath"
Jesus healed on the sabbath and asked the Pharisees whether it was better to heal on the sabbath or to obey the man made laws of the sabbath, He also said He is the Lord of the Sabbath.
So my question to you is if someone gets deathly ill on a Sabbath day then they have to wait until Sabbath is over to be healed? That's one of the the things the Pharisees complained about Jesus.
And the thing about confiscating dangerous items from children and equating that with stealing. You've got to be kidding.

This is the one I have the most trouble with:
'But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, or your son or your daughter, or your male or female slave, or your ox or your donkey, or any of your livestock, or the resident alien in your towns, so that your male and female slave may rest as well as you.'
All those people in the world that God has saved, all equal in His eyes.......er....except for your slaves! But, go on, give them a day off.

Exactly. You do not know what you are talking about. You do not know the bible. You are basing only your thoughts and comments on what you have heard from other persons. But if you know how to read and understand language, you should have understood the bible and know the contents. Its useless to guide you on truth about God.Better stop asking nonsense questions and ignorant comments.

ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.'
not even brittany with her shaved head
TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.'
carved images of jesus are ok... i saw a chocolate jesus yesterday
THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'
to play it safe just dont take anything in vain
FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'
not the black sabbath, they werent talking about ozzy osbourne here
FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.'
yes you can still respect the fact that they gave you life, even if they are abusive. you dont have to speak to them, or have anything to DO with them, but you can appreciate their role in your birth
SIX: 'You shall not murder.'
only th cold blooded kind ..... i think you can defend your life
SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.'
this is really a good one... tehy say that statistically speaking, people who refrain from having intimate relations with spouses of other people tend to live longer. imagine that.
EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.'
stealing crack from a kid would not be considered stealing. it would be considered helping a kid not to fry his brain.
NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'
like on that movie the crucible
TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.'
well if he puts it in the trash... doent say here that thou shalt not be a dumpster diver
Say the doctor had to save a life on Saturday? If he didn't, he would have killed... so... poor guy just couldnt take any money on saturday for saving your life. Then he is OK

The 10 commandments were superseded by Jesus:
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another"

Is it that you just can't understand the 10. Why are sub-clauses
needed? To justify your life? Probably.
