The so called "relationship" with God is supposed to be found through the prayers and the sincerest openness in front of our Creator. Christianity is a religion, undoubtedly, hence appeals again to that relationship with the Almighty..as to religious liberty, it comes from the inside and is not issue of outer interference.
What is Islam then? It is a religion, just younger than Christianity, what Muslims do through their prayers? Isn't that again an act of relationship with Allah Akbar??
Have a great day!

You are completely wrong to your wrong idea. Christianity is not a relationship but a group of religious congregations who believes the anointment of Jesus as our Savior. A religion is a group of person that binds together for the study of the existence of God, the teachings of and make the bible as a bases for the truth about God. You have your own right or liberty to chose your own religion, that is on the National Constitution of one country who believe in God.

I don't see where anyone elses relationships get special treatment, so I don't see how they can bow out of calling it a Religion and still retain all the Freedoms under Freedom of Religion.
This is just a weak stance to try to separate Christianity from the rest of the Religion. They can call it what they want, but we've all agreed that the Dictionary gives us correct definitions. It's too late to decide to change the meanings of these words... or to try to dodge the label all together.

I see what you are saying. If they want to go on the record and say "relationship not religion" No religious freedoms.
But I also see how they want to change the perception of what they are doing. Relationship implies that each christian has a different connection to the christ and creator. By that standard most of us with any religious tendencies could be considered christian-like. The only difference really is the name we use for the "head" of it all.

Wrong little dude. Christianity is a relationship and a Religion. What in the world makes you think it can't be both. Are you a human AND a white, or black or red or whatever race you might be? Can you be both? Silly huh????
