No one but a clairvoyant can claim to know the outcome of our actions until after the fact. However, we can act on knowledge of probabilities. If I step in front of a truck doing fifty miles per hour at a space of ten feet, I will get hit by the truck. Physics will prove it has to happen, but physics is based on a belief that there are natural laws that always operate. So, based on that example, what do you think?
