I mean, someone attracted to you is staring at you...what are you supposed to do back? Start a staring contest? Are you supposed to smile? And then what? How long? Do you ever look away?

Ya know for a guy, I really have a hard time looking a woman in the eye when she smiles at me, maybe I'm just shy, or scared off but, I always think "They Can't be looking at ME".

Eye contact is a good thing.. if you like the person back. I don't recommend staring them down or anything, but look over for a few secs till they notice then smile and look away. If they mirror you, you probably have a good connection. Maybe try to start a conversation with them cause you never know what may happen. Just say hi.

Generally when this happens to me I stare back and smile, then look away as if it was a passing look. You know? It's not really that awkward. if the other person is still staring, make like you can't see them or just be involved in something else, though i do realise this is hard to do at times lol. Hope this helped a bit!

I wouldn't turn it into an eye-staring contest. I'd just walk over and say something like, "If you and I are going to stare at each other I thought I'd walk over and introduce myself." If there are smiles along with the staring, I'd do it ASAP to take advantage of the situation.

Staring and making an eye contact totally different things. One makes an eye contact and then communicates one's feeling when the contact is returned. Staring amounts to bad manner.

oh my gosh, I hate that too!!!! What I do is just stare back then think "Oh my gosh, they're going to think I'm a weirdo or something for staring at them for so long but they're still staring at me!!!" I always freak out ><
