i accidentally snapped the bracket when fitting a new gearstick head but finding another one is like finding rocking horse poo.all info would be GREATLY appreciated.thanks.

I've had numerous VW's over the years, and my most common supplier of bits are these guys below. They're in Worksop but if you drop them an e-mail with a description of what you need, you'll have it within 2 days.

Is it mild steel? If so, take it off and get it welded at a machine shop.
