Have you considered to just blurt it out? , "it might confuse him", but then again, it might be just what he's wondering about too? Life is too short, go for it ! Let us know, it could be a new idea for a romance novel?

By smiling at him, laughing hysterically at his jokes. Usually holding hands is considered something that just friends wouldn't do and that gets the message accross without using anywords. After that maybe lean in for a kiss...

I get my friends to do it.... I probably shouldn't but im only 16 and I haven't thought of a different less nerve-wracking way around it yet. So there's my answer for ya

I would be approachable and available to him and I would flirt subtley, just to the point where I was sure he was aware of it. Then I would gauge his reaction. If he responded, I would smile, knowing I'd been caught. This generally has tended to work well for me.

Approach him, smile and tell him you enjoy his company and would like to get to know him better. If he is smart, he'll understand your language.
