My 15 month old toddler is slim in every way except his tummy which is very round. No one has ever commented on it and he eats a healthy diet.

Yeah all my babies had big bellys then they get skinny then you'll worry about that then they'll get a belly again. It seems to me that when I notice them getting skinny they start growing taller. Then they even out again and start getting a belly. Way normal.

My pediatrician told us that toddlers store their growth in their stomachs and that they will lose the bhudda belly in a couple years, it's a good thing, as opposed to in Africa, like someone mentioned, where it's more likey caused by malnourishment. My son has long chicken legs and a very round belly, it's pretty adorable.

Yes, that is just their baby fat :) As they become more active after learning to walk, the belly will gradually slim down, and should be gone by the time they start preschool :)

It's very normal and a good sign of great health! My 20-month-old daughter has the cutest little pot-belly going on... it's adorable... and she's very healthy, (not over-weight... she's in the 25% for her age). I think as adults we tend to keep our abdominal muscles pulled in... stand up once and completely relax... does it get bigger? Don't worry anymore... you have a healthy little one on your hands!

Yes it is normal for todlers to have round bellies,in fect in the African babies it is more so,but with time it will go as there will be more walking and running for the baby to do.

Yes, all babies keep what I term, a melon belly until they are about three years old. It's nothing to worry about.
