I cant help thinking most cupboards have different odds and ends . but the advert that makes several different dishes from eggs is usually a good idea. because I tend to do that or use pasta and any left overs

Depends on the cupboard stock but a good stew can clear out a huge amount of leftovers.

Rice with almost anything in is great. You can add slices of sausage, pieces of chicken, cubed ham or pork. Most tinned veg can also be added or fresh/frozen peas and sweetcorn.
If you have a tin of tomato soup add that to the rice just before it is fully cooked and then bake in the oven for a while. Delicious.

I always end up with what we call "stuff" in our house. Every week the leftovers are different but it always involves pasta. Cook a large pan of pasta and add what you've got hanging about (leftover veg chopped/sweetcorn/peas/boiled eggs/ chopped bacon/pieces of chicken/mince etc ........ add a pasta sauce of your choice .......... stud pasta with cheese and poke in some mozarella............. bake for 25 mins until cheese is melted and bubbling. Serve with a large home made garlic bread and you won't move for days xxxxxxxxxxx Enjoy xxxxxxxxx

What do you have? Do you have:
Tater tots or any kind of potatoes like that, cream of mushroom or cream of chicken, cheese, ground beef?
You can make a great casserole simple in about 30 minutes.
Let me know what you have and I'll figure out something for you. I'm a cook!

Give it to the kids and just supervise... they usually come out with something tasty if an adult is around
