Opposites attract! I think those make the best relationships, because you have a better skillset for solving problems, more diversity and depth to handle things. I really like the fact my wife is so different than myself, we can decide who gets to do things easily.

You are likely to be attracted to someone who appears 'opposite' to you and there is good reason for it.

In probability, they actually show personality traits that have been repressed in you. This selection is not something that the mind does conciously.

Initally, this will be great. Getting together with this person is a way that you can feel whole by filling in the 'gaps' in your own personality by proxy. However, after a period of time the mind realises that it is not really 'whole' and can then point anger and blame at the other person. If you can understand this at this stage, then the 'opposites' relationship can achieve its full potential of making each individual develop their own repressed personalities. As with everything worthwhile, this needs work.

Unfortunately, a lot of relationships fall over at the anger and blame stage as our 'instant-fix' society say "throw it away and buy a new one".

No... not to sound cliche but opposites attract... a lot of time that person that is so opposite makes up for what you lack in many ways and vice versa! Dating someone opposite helps people to see things differently and experience new things that you never even thought about!

personally in my opinion, there is nothing wrong with liking someone completely opposite to you, although you must find some kind of common ground that you can both meet on otherwise you will spend all of your time either trying to change this person or you will find that you never spend any quality time together due to the fact that you have nothing in common. And sex isn't common ground...lol

you know what they say. Opposites attract! Thats definitely not wrong. The only thing i would say that you should definitely have in common is your belief system... culturally or spiritually and as long as that guides both of you, you will be able to connect in some way...and be happy.

My Ex and I were completely opposite.... She was a Veggie and I used to shoot pheasants..... She wanted to live in London...and I wanted to live in the country.....Etc etc....

Anyway we were so different that It was doomed from the first time we went out...... My advice is either you change and like what he wants or change him.... But dont expect it to be easy....

Thats why we broke up.....well apart from her being an antisocial Bi*tch......

Good Luck....Hx

No. Liking another person is never wrong. It is fine. No one is exactly alike anyway.
