Ability, composure, presence, personality, and emotional connection to the piece. If you're good, that will show but it's not enough. You need to perform the piece as if it was written just for you and you need to show that you connect to it at some level. It's like when a singer sings. If all he does is hit the right notes, it's boring. If he sings it with passion and as if he's really singing it to/about someone, there's a haunting quality to the performance that the audience connects to on a visceral level.

In musical theatre, it's not enough to just be a good dancer. You need to know how to act and sing too. You also need to be able to take criticism and direction. Leave your ego at the door, have fun, be professional, and enjoy the process.

body presence..smoothness of movements and ability to follow the directions of the coreographer...if you get out there and show you are supposed to be there because you are good you will do fine...its called attitude..or presence

they will judge you on you're sweet dance moves;and if you totally screw up or fall flat on you're face
