For months now we have had a cat that constantly sits outside our catflap. It waits for my cat to appear and it always attacks him. I dont understand why my cat only screams at this bully cat but will never attack it. Its cost me loads taking him to the vets to get infected bites seen to all because he doesnt fight back, very frustrating. But i really need some advise to shift this other animal without having to lock my cat in the house. Does anyone have any genuine answers out there, thanks : )

Everytime you see that bully cat sitting outside, spray with water bottle and lots of it! Do that all the time I'm sure the cat will learn. Since you said you saw your cat screaming at the other cat, I'm just assuming you'd be there most of the time when your cat wants to go outside.

I used to have outdoor cat too, but he's a 26lbs Maine Coon, other cats wouldn't dare to come close to our house and bully him... he he

WATER! Cats hated to get wet so be creative! Squirt gun, pail of water, the old garden hose! What ever means of dousing it with water will certainly change it's mind and habits! May take a couple of times but it WILL get the message! The more water at each time, the quicker it'll get the message.
If that doesn't work then there's always the "animal warden" as it may well be a stray!

They're fighting to determine who's boss, its a territorial thing.I have this problem too!!! I'm finding the best way of dealing with it is by going out into the garden whilst the "bully" is there, so you're sort of "guarding" your cat and protecting it from harm. My cat follows me out but stays behind. I have got a water pistol if he tries to have a go. It seems to be working.
Good luck xx

Hi, Awww we have a bully cat that keeps coming round, whenever we see it we squirt water at it , (get a water squirter,) and we go out clapping our hands, now as soon as we appear it runs off. Just make loads of noise at it as well. This cat has found out that your cat will not fight back, i bet it's also getting into your home eating your cat's food and watch out for it spraying in your home marking territory. Good Luck to you and your little kitty.

Get a kids big powerful pump-up water gun.. and sneek over to the cat flap and blast the interloper with plenty of water.. through the catflap.. so its not going to know the door opens and they squirt me with water. Let its tiny cat brain think your cat is armed and dangerous. Keep doing this every day until it finds a safer dryer enemy to stalk. Keep the Faith. :)

The answers with the water guns and dog droppings are good, but if you are able to get to a zoo ask if it is possible for some Lion or Tiger droppings, as the smell will deter the bully from coming close.

The water ideas sound good, but I wouldn't want dog droppings all over my back porch. Does the cat belong to anybody? If its a stray either call your local animal shelter and have them come get it, or trap it yourself and take it to the animal shelter.

Open the door or a nearby window and drench it in cold water. One or 2 doses of that will teach it to get lost.

Dog droppings. Leave a few near the flap for a while.
