You know the price per chick; if you buy your feed in bulk the production costs may not be far out.
Production Cost ;
Age in weeks: Productions cost per week/bird:
1 through 8 25 cents/week
9 through 16 40 cents/week
17 through 29 55¢/week/bird

You've then got transport and slaughter to consider.

Poultry needs to stay on heat for at least the first 6 weeks of life.
Organic food is more expensive than normal. Check with your local feed store for prices.
Do you already have the housing you will need?
