On their own the answer is probably no. They are however a necessary step on the path to developing an adult relationship.
As humans we learn from our mistakes. The first relationships we start to build outside of our immediate family teach us what we can and cannot do or expect from a relationship. Some of the lessons are hard but it is better to learn where the consequences are less sever than to wait until you have been married for ten years.
So really, to build a meaningful future you need to learn a lot first and being a teenager is the best time to do it.

I have personally know many persons who have a relationship for the last 8 - 9 yrs when they were in class 8th & now they are getting married very soon .They don't do any physical terms. This all depends on person to person whether they want really a good relationship or just having for timepass.

sometimes, yes. though nowhere NEARLY as often as adult relationships. usually teens just have too much change to go through in their life to feel the same about a person they were in love with at 15 all the way into adulthood. although, i think that in small towns teenage relationships often lead to successful marriages...i can think of about 5 of my best friends from back home (small town of course) whose parents were high school sweethearts, and they are as happy as ever. i have even more friends my own age who married their high school loves. although obviously im much younger than my friends' parents, but with my friends' marriages, so far so good! humor her for now, because you never know what the future holds for the two of you. don't dump her because she likes to dream or anything, that would just hurt her!

It's pretty rare but I've seen it once or twice. Don't be afraid that she is looking to the future, that's a good sign. Enjoy the relationship and realize that if it ever ends that it will not be the end of the world

working out any relationship is dicey... it all depends on u and ur partner.. how committed are u to eachother? and do u beleive u have a future together...? do u love him/her enough to know he/she is the one u wanna spend the rest of ur life with.. doesnt matter how old u are.. ive known relationships that started at high school and are still goin strong so i guess it depends on the ppl involved and since u say u dont know wat to say when ur gf asks u stuff.. means ur not erady or as comitted.. which is normal too.... so take it easy..... u have to realise on ur own whos the one for u and itll come to u when ur not watchin or waitin !
