Yes. Why should the parents have to work when they are old. In Islam children are responsible for taking care of the parents when the parents reach old age.

In the Bible it says to honor your mother and father, so i dont know if the parents should depend upon there children but the children should take care and cherish there parents!!!

No, but they should be nice to their kids when they are young as the kids will one day pick their nursing home. so I have heard.
