Being at War makes it hard to put other branches down, I've learned that ever Sailor, Airman, Soldier, and Marine is a warrior for all they sacrifice. It's not just the Combat MOSes that take heat and get hit these days the enemy is everywhere and putting on a uniform is like a bulls eye weather you run supply, push paper, medic, or build latrines. Lets just be glad we are not nasty civilians, Hooah!!! besides MPs lead the way!!!

My brother was a marine, and at that time i thought there was nothing better than marines... he had a cool job, got discounts everywhere, free housing, a nice car, a cool uniform a sword, people seemed to respect him when he said he was a marine, my mom was proud when she said he was in the marines... he's been to war and back marines sign up not for job training or college benefits marines sign up simply to be marines and if i had the strength and the guts i would want to be a marine! my uncle was in the air force stationed with marines he said the air force was great but if anything were to ever go down he wanted to have some marines with him!

All branches of the service are necessary and the marines are no better than the Army, Navy, Air Force or Coast Guard. They all work for the same country and need each other. One branch can't do it all. Those that think so are silly.

It is the best unless..
You want money for college (more than just G.I.Bill)
You wanna get stationed in Europe (unless you get embassy duty)
You wanna have new equipment
You wanna have new/good facilities
You wanna have lots of highly technical job options that translate to the civilian world.
Other than that, yeah the personal satisfaction of being a Marine beats the rest

Oorah!!! I support all the troops, but I have a best friend in the Marines getting deployed in April. Alpha Raiders First Battalion

They are the most honorable, but I will not say they are the best. Because we need all four branches, I would rather say that our Military is the greatest on Earth. But Marines lead the way.

OORAH!!! But what can I say, I'm partial... I have to sleep next to one half of the year (and thank God for it too, because the other half he's Deployed). As the saying goes "American by Birth... Marine Wife by the Grace of God!"

I don't know about that one my husband is a marine or was whatever and hes lazy lol.Although it did teach him discipline hes still lazy.
