I have thought about love a lot! But I can not recognize it yet. What you feel as love could be attachment, could be a strong need to kindness or attention could be a need to emotional support! And also could be love.
I think if you are on the side of power and do not feel any strong need so that make you in a vulnerable position your feeling could be love. May be love is some kind of generosity in relations with the other. When you enjoy supporting them instead of looking for any support.
Any why I hope you are more in love than in need! Although there is not such complete love in the world of realities as I described.

I f you love some one because you think that he or she is really
gorgeous ....then it's not love .. it's " Infatuation"

I f you love some one because you think that you shouldn't leave him
because others think that you shouldn't ... then it's not love.. it's
"Compromise"

I f you love some one because you have been kissed by him ... then it's
not love.. it's "Inferiority complex"

I f you love some one because you cannot leave him thinking that it
would hurt his feelings ... then it's not love .. it's "Charity"

I f you love some one because you share every thing with him ... then
it's not love... it's "Friendship"

BUT...
I f you feel the pain of the other person more than him even when he is
stable and you cry for him ... that's "LOVE"

I f you get attracted to other people but stay with him without any
regrets... that's "LOVE"

I f you let him go knowing that he has to go but he doesn't want to ...
that's "LOVE"

if you think about her all the time, and you sometimes just smile even if you're alone, just thinking about her. when you care for her so much, when you sacrifice things for her, like not having to study just to see her or to be with her, when you are happy and there's a "tickle" effect on your body, when you always miss her, and wanted to see her all the time, then you are inlove.

dude, you just know :) no other way to describe it. I think it's when you honestly just care for the person. Not like "i care for you" as a friend but i "really care for you - i want you to be happy, i want to make you happy..." just plain unconditional love.
