drinking and smoking, no not ok for christians. partying, that depends on your definition......a pj party with your kids, eating popcorn, playing board games, yeah that's fine. a party as in doing wild, crazy things that you'll probably not remember all of the next day, no that is not fine.
if you are a christian than you need to live your life in a way that is pleasing to God and not hindering others. if someone looked at you doing the above mentioned things and they were at that point in their life where they were trying to make a decision for the Lord...then your lifestyle could potentially cause them to stumble. no drink, cigarette or party is worth the loss of even one who could turn from Christ because of your actions.

..for christians,we believe that our body is God's temple..whatever you do to your body,it's your decision as long as you fulfill your obligations to the church..Cristians smoke and drink and even commit crimes, but that doesnt mean that we're that bad..we have lots of fun especially when we go to mass..it's our obligation, yes, but at the same time,it's our way of getting together to give praise to our God..We also believe that we will be punished accordingly..We enjoy our life, yet we live by the boundaries of the Ten Commandments..I'd like to comment on one answer you have there..we Christians have all the fun we need..you cannot find fun only in drinking and smoking, but also in praying and doing good..our way of partying is going with charities and sharing what we have..we believe in equality..you might say that some chritians are not all good,yes..it's on how they struggle with the temptations of the devil..we have lots of temptations to struggle with everydayand we know we can surpass them through our faith..partying and drinking and smoking is okay, because we party when it's Jesus's Birthday..but you have to know that it's your loss when you drink and party and smoke too much..this is not only based on our ten commandments but also on the laws of the government and what we call civilization..

Well when Jesus turned wine into water in John 2:1-11 I don't expect it would have been non alcoholic. Tobacco was not available in those times however.

You of course also need to think how your behaviour would affect others.

No, it's not ok, but all the Christians I know are special, they said they can, because they will be forgiven anyway.
e.g. committing fornication numorous times on the weekdays and pray from the heart on Sundays will save them. Try it!

its not OK for anyone. That's bad habits and frankly should be stopped. I should know I would love to lay down these smokes and never pick them up again.

it's your conscience, your soul, your decision. your body is your temple, treat it as such. i smoke cigarettes, wish i could quit. i drink on occasion, wine and drunks are in the bible (gluttony is a sin) and i even smoke herbs, (genesis 1;12 or something like that) your God lives in you, ask him, ask yourself. don't ask a Christian, they are too much into behavior science and against love (opposite of what Christ was trying to teach)

What ever you do, do it in the Holy Spirit. If you find yourself weakening in the Holy Spirit, you have done wrong. Don't obsess, control your habits. Enjoy this life but don't let it cost you your life.

Yes, if you are catholic, or a professing Christian that is still living a heathen lifestyle. A real born again Christian would not be comfortable living that lifestyle.
