feeling lost?

I recently broke up with a "secret" partner with whom I've had a 4 yr relationship with. Although we never totally made things official, we allowed our relationship to remain under wraps due to the fact that I rely heavily on my child's father for support( I work at night) and my relationship with him has to be maintained.
I decided to leave this relationship because although we both have skeletons in the closet...we both came into the relationship with, he has reduced me to apparently nothing when it comes to feelings. He promised to take me to his mother's retired party and then took the offer back without even informing me. I asked him about it almost a week into the affair and he said "I have to see if I could get you a ticket". He didn't call on my Birthday and Vanlentines' day 2 years in a row, and He has a suspicous relationship with someone on myspace.
I've already dumped him...but I miss him terribly....did I mention I love him
What should i do?

Don't take him back. It sounds like he treated you really badly. You don't deserve that and neither does your child. You might miss him now but soon you'll realise that you deserve so much better. It's not even like he was just going through a bad time...you said he didn't call you on your birthday or on Valentine's Day for two years! You might love him now but you should learn to love yourself more. You'll get through it if you just try to be strong for both your sake and for your child's sake. You'll get over him - just give it time.

Good for you that you dropped him. Why do you miss being mistreated? Think about that. You perhaps miss the habit. There may have been a few good times you are focused on. Stop it. Look at the overall relationship and how many times he hurt you.
