Ok, I take a shower like two times a day, I am not a dirty person at all. My hair is always clean and my body is always clean. But I have terrible acne problems and need a brand of medicine that truly works and doesnt cost much.

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.

In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.

Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.

In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.

If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

I'm in the same boat. Try perinox, you can buy it at drug stores and it's about $10. Or try ProActive products that can be purchased online. They work great and a kit can last 3 months and only cost $19.00
I have tried everything and the really cheap stuff doesnt work for me. The only thing that every cleared me up 1005% was antibiotics but they're not safe to take long term. I would recommend washing your face twice a day, exfoliate twice a week. Stay away from caffiene, too much alcohol, and smoking. Drink lots of water. Keep your pillowcase clean, don't touch your face, keep your hair out of your face and use water based makeup.

Here's a simple formula for keeping the acne away.
1. Go Buy two face cleaners: 1 clearsil pads and 1 apricot scrub
- Use clearsil pad to clean your face every morning and before bed. (Wash face with water, dry, use pad, don't dry).
- Apricot scrub. Use this at least once a week. Best to use every other day though. Easiest to use in shower. After use then use clearsil pad.
2. Use rubbing alcohol for spot reduction. Dip Q tip in rubbing alcohol and apply to pimple before bed.
3. Don't cause scars: Don't pick if you don't have to.
4. Keep your hair clean. Our hair has so much oil in it (even dry hair). Many people don't realize that a lot of acne comes from hair. This means shower at least every other day.
5. Keep your pillow case clean. Wash weekly. If you don't have washer and dryer then wash in bathtub. It holds a lot of oil!
6. If you are a female you can also buy some concelear. If you can afford it buy oil free concelear (like Physicians Formula). If not then buy 99 cent concelear (wet n wild brand is cheap). You can use this to cover up acne while in public and for some reason i think it helps to wear it.
7. Drinks lots of water!!!

If you can't afford to buy acne products listed above there are home remedy formulas.
Instead of clearsil pads apply rubbing alcohol with cloth.
Instead of apricot scrub mix oil free soap with sugar (I used to keep a glass jar of sugar in my bathroom).

If this doesn't work you can ask your doctor to prescribe Benzol Peroxide (use it in place of the cleansing pads), it's a bit stronger.

You can't get rid of scars until you've been acne free for 3 months. At this time you can start using scar meds. like Mederma.

Tip: Hot water opens pores so you can clean them out. Cold water closes them.

Tip: Don't ever rub face dry with a towel. Either blot dry or let air dry. Towel particles clog up pores.

REMEMBER: You have to use all steps for it to be effective.

Hope this helps!

Home treatment for acne offers many treatment possibilities. If you decide that home treatment for acne is something you want to try you may need some information.

One home treatment for acne can involve changes in your diet. Many people find that home treatment for acne that includes dietary changes is very successful. When using this home treatment for acne you should eliminate sugar, caffeine, processed foods and foods that contain a lot of iodine.

Another home treatment for acne is one that consists of adding supplements every day. Some of these supplements include vitamins, brewer's yeast, zinc and chromium.

A home treatment for acne that has worked for some people is aloe. You can use this in gel or juice form. You can try apple cider as a cleanser as a home treatment for acne. Another home treatment for acne is cleaning your face with egg whites.

Try making an oatmeal mask as a home treatment for acne. Apply cooked and cooled oatmeal to your face and let it sit for fifteen minutes. You can use a peeled cucumber that has been liquefied in the blender as a home treatment for acne. Just apply it to the area that is affected with acne.

Witch hazel sometimes is effective as a home treatment for acne. Put a little witch hazel on a cotton ball after you have cleaned your face. As part of this home treatment for acne you should then apply a 2% salicylic acid product.

I was deeply scarred by acne 40 years ago, when there was no treatment.
The more you wash the worse it gets. It has nothing what soever to do with clean.
Get Retin-A. You can buy it on-line, or via a dermatologist. It is a cure plain and simple. Do it!!

I see a bunch of responses that might be cheap, but may not work. I tried them all. I bear the scars to this day.
Retin-A cures acne. It's not the cheapest, but it is the only one that will work.

Which part of you has acne?

If on your face, are you using the right facial wash? Or you are not using any? Eating habit will also affecting the acne... try to cut out fried food, chips, oily food etc... eat more vegetables...

If on your body, the soap might clot the pores on your skin... No need to shower too much... or use shower gel instead.

Remark: also cut the Chocolate, nuts... etc. Eat lean. Scrub Occasionally is also good (Don't over scrub, especially when the acne is not yet heal)

benzoyl peroxide is the active ingredient in proactive and you can buy other items like it at CVS or the regular drug store for $5-7. if your acne is deep, though, you might need to see a doctor and get internal medications. theres tetricycline, and accutane, which are the most popular. if you dont have health insurance it could be expensive, but if you do, insurance will cover the prescriptions and it will be cheap for you, and accutane will cure any acne problem, and it makes it go away forever.

noxema, spectro jel, extra virgin olive oil just a dab!, actually you should of given us more details but you can try a sugar scrub, sometimes its because your body sweats toxins and you can either dry em up, meaning take a shower then put alcohol all over you body except private ereas lol! then put baby powder. If that doesent work you can try moisturising your body meaning take a bath with those rought sponges they clean out skin well, use olay ribbons body wash then dry up apply spectro jel and wear dove moisturising cream all over your body. If that doesent work go see a doctor
