to get back at those companies who decide to send me mailers and envelopes i dont need, is it possible to wrap something heavy(a rock or other item) to their return envelope which would make them pay more for postage? would that even work?

I do it all the time.
I usually send them coupons for stuff that I dont use from the sunday papers.
I try to make the package kinda bulky so that they can have 'postage due' too.
If there is any kind of barcode, I am always sure to mark thru it too.
Its a blast to me to know that I have robbed them of .39 cents (or more) of all of the interest that they charge me and everyone else.
Glad to know that I am not alone in doing this.
I probably wouldnt send anything illegal (bugs or old tampons)
just in case the recipient gets really pissed and decides to file a complaint with the postal inspector.

Have you ever wondered what is the total worth of that mailer you received as pure wate paper?.In case you do not want that product, there is no need for you to get worked up and punish them, Instead, just collect all such material and you can have an excellent collection of mailers that fail and write a book on the topic. Also, there is another profitable way out too.Make a paste of these papers and with a little clay added, you can get excellent Papier mache for doing craft items. You can gift it to your children's school or start a Hobby workshop on Dolls, art pieces etc.Always thank those who send you such material. Nothing comes to you without the universal design having a purpose behind it.Learn the art of deciphering those hidden messages and you will be rich, far richer, very soon!
