Are you a person of color? If so, that is not to uncommon. It could be that your detergent is irritating your skin (try something like All or Cheer Free w/no perfumes or dyes), or you might have a skin rash called eczema. Go to your neighborhood drug store (like Walgreens), and buy some hydrocortisone cream 1%. Its only about 3 bucks, and use it twice a day. Good Luck.

well if its just a bit of dirt or sweat build-up, then sometimes scrubbing with normal soap doesn't work...did you wear a chain/necklace that was fake? or made a reaction to your skin... to clean your neck thoroughly, take a cotton ball or tissue, and regular rubbing alcohol, and wipe it on your neck...and to anyone else.........you can try it too...your neck may look clean to you , but once you clean it with this, you will be surprised how well dirt comes off (even if it looks clean).try it....

My sister had that as well, and it was not the hygeine, try seeing a doctor, maybe it is a vitamin she was missing, or something else. But definately see a doctor.

You should go to the doctor and see what is causing it. If your hygeine is good, it shouldn't be black.

You can use some Shea butter, don't coat it, one layer is enough after a shower.
